Venue Transport
We have arranged transport between our ceremony and reception venues. The shuttle service will run between St Columba’s, central Wānaka and Glendhu Station.

Children
Children are welcome at the ceremony. However, the reception will be an adults-only event and we hope you will let your hair down!

Getting to Wānaka /
car hire
Car hire is the easiest way to get around. If you are not confident in wintery alpine conditions or plan to go skiing it is a good idea to hire a 4×4 vehicle.
The best route from Queenstown to Wānaka is via the Cromwell Gorge to avoid the sometimes icy + snowy Crown Range road. NZ roads are quite windy and picturesque, leave plenty of time to travel and take in the scenery.
Flights
We recommend you book your flights as soon as possible to ensure you can get a direct flight to Queenstown. If direct flights aren’t available transferring at Christchurch or Auckland to a domestic flight won’t add on too much travel time.
Accommodation
Wānaka accommodation can book up especially if the snowfields have good snow! We’d recommend getting your accommodation locked in as soon as you’ve booked your flights.

Wānaka is a beautiful town with a range of activities to do when in the area, we highly suggest making the most of your stay and enjoying the best that Wānaka has to offer.

September is Spring in Wānaka, you can expect the days to be slightly chilly and the evenings cold. It is a lovely time of year and you will see snow-capped mountains and crystal clear lakes, bring a jacket!
